Saturday Night Top Sirloin Butcher Recipe

Ingredients:

2 top sirloin steaks, 1.5 inch thick1 tablespoon olive oil1 tablespoon butter2 cloves garlic, minced1 sprig rosemarySalt and pepper

 

Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.Add the minced garlic and rosemary to the skillet and cook until fragrant.

Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

Place the steaks in the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side.

Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F.

Remove the skillet from the oven and let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

 

Tips:

Let the steaks sit at room temperature before cooking to ensure even cooking.Use an oven-safe skillet to avoid transferring the steaks to a separate baking dish.Don't overcrowd the skillet. If you're cooking more than two steaks, cook them in batches.Use a meat thermometer to ensure the steaks are cooked to your desired level of doneness.
