Terms & Conditions – No Return, No Refund Policy (Rescheduling & Service Credit Only)

Effective Date: January 2025


1. General Policy

At The Cleaning Company, we are committed to providing high-quality cleaning services and a professional customer experience. By booking, purchasing, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions and this No Return, No Refund Policy.

All sales are final.

Because cleaning services involve reserving labor, scheduling, travel, and staffing resources, all purchases are subject to the terms below.


2. No Returns or Exchanges

Because cleaning services are time-based service appointments and not physical products, we do not offer returns or exchanges on any completed or scheduled service, including but not limited to:

• Residential Cleaning
• Commercial Cleaning
• Deep Cleaning
• Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning
• Specialized Cleaning Services
• Recurring Services
• Bundles and Packages


3. No Refund Policy

All service purchases are final.

We do not provide refunds for completed, scheduled, partially used, redeemed, or reserved cleaning services except where required by applicable law.

If a customer is dissatisfied with a completed service, The Cleaning Company may, at its sole discretion:

• Offer a touch-up service
• Offer scheduling accommodations
• Offer a service credit
• Offer other reasonable remedies deemed appropriate

No remedy is guaranteed.


4. Merchandise Return Policy

Physical merchandise sold through our website may be eligible for return within 14 days of delivery provided:

• Item is unused
• Item remains in original packaging
• Item is in resalable condition

For merchandise return requests, contact us using the information below.

Shipping charges are non-refundable.


5. Promotions and Discounts

Promotional offers and discounts are subject to the following:

• Valid only during the advertised promotional period
• Cannot be applied retroactively
• Cannot be combined unless specifically stated
• Limited-time offers expire automatically
• Referral discounts, holiday promotions, and sales may not be stacked

If an order is placed using an invalid combination of discounts or promotions, The Cleaning Company reserves the right to:

• Adjust pricing
• Cancel the discount
• Convert the amount paid into store credit or gift card value


6. Appointment Confirmation

Appointments are considered reserved only after:

• Payment is received
• Invoice is paid in full
• Confirmation notice is issued

Appointment times remain tentative until payment is completed.


7. Cancellation Policy

Because staffing and scheduling resources are reserved specifically for each appointment:

More than 24 hours notice:

Customer may receive scheduling credit toward a future appointment.

Less than 24 hours notice:

Cancellation fees may apply.

Same-day cancellations or no-shows:

Appointment may be considered redeemed and non-refundable.


8. Rescheduling Policy

We understand schedules may change.

To reschedule:

Customers should provide at least 24 hours advance notice.

Requests made with less than 1 hour notice may incur additional fees.

Rescheduled appointments are not confirmed until:

• applicable fees are paid
• a new appointment confirmation is issued


9. Arrival Windows and Service Areas

Because we service a broad geographic area across Long Island and surrounding regions:

Customers acknowledge arrival windows may vary.

Please allow approximately 2–4 hours from scheduled service times for cleaner arrival.

Delays may occur due to:

• traffic
• weather
• prior appointments
• staffing delays
• unforeseen circumstances

Estimated arrival times are not guarantees.


10. Access to Property

Customers are responsible for ensuring access to the scheduled service location.

If our staff arrives and cannot access the property due to:

• customer absence
• lockouts
• incorrect addresses
• missing entry instructions
• pets not secured
• utilities unavailable
• denied entry
• inaccessible property conditions

The appointment may be deemed fulfilled and charges may remain non-refundable.

Additional trip fees or rescheduling fees may apply.


11. Additional Time and Service Charges

Cleaning times are estimates only.

Additional charges may apply for:

• excessive dirt buildup
• unexpected conditions
• additional rooms or spaces
• extra labor requested on-site
• additional cleaning beyond purchased packages

Customers will be notified whenever possible.


12. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

• provide safe working conditions
• provide electricity and running water
• secure pets appropriately
• remove hazardous conditions
• secure valuables and sensitive items
• disclose unusual cleaning conditions

The Cleaning Company is not responsible for delays caused by failure to meet these requirements.


13. Service Limitations

Cleaning services are maintenance services.

Results may vary based upon:

• age of surfaces
• staining
• buildup conditions
• prior damage
• wear and tear

The Cleaning Company does not guarantee:

• stain removal
• mold removal
• odor elimination
• restoration services
• damage repair
• results beyond reasonably achievable cleaning standards


14. Service Documentation

To maintain quality assurance and resolve disputes, The Cleaning Company reserves the right to document services through:

• time records
• communication logs
• GPS verification
• photographs
• technician records

Documentation may be used for internal records, quality control, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution.


15. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Chargeback Policy

If a customer initiates a chargeback or payment dispute that The Cleaning Company reasonably believes to be invalid, fraudulent, or inconsistent with these Terms & Conditions, we reserve the right to dispute and defend such claims.

Customers agree to reimburse actual costs associated with:

• bank fees
• payment processor fees
• administrative costs
• collection expenses

We reserve all legal remedies available.


16. Fraudulent Activity

Fraudulent transactions, stolen payment methods, intentional payment reversals, or other bad-faith activity may be reported to:

• financial institutions
• payment processors
• collection agencies
• law enforcement authorities

No refunds will be issued for fraudulent transactions.


17. Third-Party Financing and Payment Providers

Purchases made through third-party financing or payment services including but not limited to:

• Shop Pay
• Affirm
• Klarna
• Afterpay

remain subject to the policies and procedures of those providers.

The Cleaning Company is not responsible for third-party financing decisions or disputes.


18. Unpaid Balances and Collections

Unpaid balances may be referred for collections or legal action where permitted by law.

Customers may be responsible for reasonable collection costs and legal expenses where allowed.


19. Service Satisfaction

Customer satisfaction remains important to us.

Customers must report service concerns within 24 hours of service completion.

Failure to report concerns within this timeframe may constitute acceptance of completed services.


20. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of New York.


21. Policy Changes

The Cleaning Company reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

Updated policies become effective immediately upon posting to our website.

Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
